Our mission:
Saving food & helping people
As the Loisachtal Food Bank, we rescue food that can no longer be sold or has been donated, and pass it on to people in need who otherwise often cannot afford a balanced diet.
In doing so, we support all eligible individuals from the municipalities of Bichl, Benediktbeuern, Kochel am See, Schlehdorf, and Walchensee. At the same time, we contribute to the prevention of food waste.
*Eligibility:
To receive food from the food bank, you must hold a local "SozialCard." Information regarding the eligibility criteria for obtaining a SozialCard and how to use it can be found on the Bad Tölz-Wolfratshausen district website at (available also in english language):

The issue: location, time and procedure
Time:
Every Monday at 11:30 a.m. (if Monday falls on a public holiday, distribution will take place on the following working day)
Please arrive on time; we will begin distributing chip numbers shortly before the distribution at 11:30 a.m. (s.u. Procedure)

Kochel train station - on the platform side, directly next to the waiting room.

Procedure:
The station waiting hall also serves as the waiting area for you as our food bank clients. From there, you will be called into the distribution area in turn—based on a randomly assigned chip number you received earlier—to collect the food prepared in crates.
